Great art should do more than fill a wall—it should make you pause, look twice, and feel something. I believe the strongest collections are built not around trends or investment alone, but around a genuine love for the work itself.
I am the founder of Dani Art Advisory, a New York-based art advisory practice focused on helping collectors acquire meaningful, lasting works of art. With a background in branding and business development and a Master's degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art, I bring a blend of strategic thinking, market knowledge, and aesthetic expertise to my clients. My approach is rooted in the belief that the best collections begin with genuine connection and a true love of the work. I work closely with private clients, families, and businesses to source contemporary and emerging art that reflects their individual tastes while thoughtfully considering long-term value. Beyond my advisory practice, I am an active supporter of the arts through my involvement with High Line Art's Plinth Committee and the Contemporary Circle at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Favorite exhibition
One of my favorite exhibitions in recent years was Kylie Manning's 2024 show at Pace in Hong Kong. I was drawn to her extraordinary use of color and the way her paintings slowly reveal themselves. What initially feels abstract begins to transform into figures, landscapes, and stories the longer you look. The experience perfectly reflects what I value most in art: work that invites you to slow down, look twice, and uncover something you didn't see the first time.
Favorite museum
It might be cliché for someone in the art world to say Picasso, but I keep coming back to his work. Some of my most memorable museum experiences have been at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, the Picasso Museum in Paris, and the Picasso Museum in Antibes. Seeing the breadth of his oeuvre across different periods and places offers a remarkable perspective on his evolution as an artist and the sheer scale of his creative genius. What fascinates me most about Picasso is his ability to constantly reinvent himself while remaining unmistakably Picasso. I am drawn to the way he captures people, objects, and emotions—not necessarily as they appear, but as they are experienced. His work rewards a second look; every time I revisit it, I notice something new. That ability to continually engage, challenge, and surprise the viewer is what I find so compelling and what I look for in great art.
