My experience in the art world has come from wearing many hats. From working at a gallery and building relationships with collectors, to testing the waters by opening my own pop-up gallery exhibitions, I’ve had the opportunity to learn the...

One exhibition that has really stayed with me was Ecos by Alejandro Piñeiro Bello, which we presented this past April. Working at KDR has introduced me to so many incredible artists, but being involved in bringing this exhibition to life and then experiencing it in person was especially meaningful. I’m drawn to Alejandro’s story, his practice, and the way his paintings transport me to a beautiful Caribbean world. His work is filled with warmth, memory, and a strong sense of place, qualities that continue to stay with me long after I leave the gallery.

One of my favorite exhibitions in recent years was Kylie Manning's 2024 show at Pace in Hong Kong. I was drawn to her extraordinary use of color and the way her paintings slowly reveal themselves. What initially feels abstract begins to transform into figures, landscapes, and stories the longer you look. The experience perfectly reflects what I value most in art: work that invites you to slow down, look twice, and uncover something you didn't see the first time.

Favorite exhibition
Richard Serra's East-West/West-East in the Qatari desert. Visited during the first edition of Art Basel Qatar. One of those works that stays with you. Up close, the steel plates feel monumental; set against the vast desert, they almost dissolve into the horizon. That shift in scale makes the work both powerful and deeply contemplative.

I’m still thinking about James Turrell’s exhibition at Gagosian in Le Bourget in 2024. My mom and I missed our international flight to Bangkok for that show. Super chaotic, but totally worth it.
