Collecting should be fun, exciting, and personal. My approach is about helping people discover works they genuinely connect with and building collections that feel authentic to who they are.
My experience in the art world has come from wearing many hats. From working at a gallery and building relationships with collectors, to testing the waters by opening my own pop-up gallery exhibitions, I’ve had the opportunity to learn the industry from multiple perspectives. I’ve worked with collectors locally and internationally, helping place works and witnessing firsthand the excitement that comes with discovering an artist whose work truly speaks to someone.
I’m especially drawn to emerging artists and the energy that comes from supporting them at pivotal moments in their careers. As I begin building my advisory practice, I’m focused on creating relationships with artists and collectors while making the world of collecting feel more approachable for a new generation. I believe art should be lived with, enjoyed, and collected with curiosity rather than intimidation!
Favorite exhibition
One exhibition that has really stayed with me was Ecos by Alejandro Piñeiro Bello, which we presented this past April. Working at KDR has introduced me to so many incredible artists, but being involved in bringing this exhibition to life and then experiencing it in person was especially meaningful. I’m drawn to Alejandro’s story, his practice, and the way his paintings transport me to a beautiful Caribbean world. His work is filled with warmth, memory, and a strong sense of place, qualities that continue to stay with me long after I leave the gallery.
Favorite museum
Living in Miami, I find myself returning to the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami again and again. I love how it’s constantly introducing me to new artists and ideas, and beyond the exhibitions, it has fostered such a strong sense of community within the city’s art scene that always keeps me coming back.
